Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to get my fibre installed?

How long is a piece of rope? Not long.

It all depends on which underlying Fibre provider is in your area, but usually you can expect it to take around 5 business days.

Which fibre speed do I need?

Faster speeds = more devices, downloads and streaming. For example, speeds under 10 Mbps support 2 – 3 devices, browsing online and 1 user streaming at a time.

Are you really unshaped and uncapped?

Our packages are 100% unthrottled and unshaped. This means you can enjoy the same speed ANY time of the night or day. Gamechanger.

What about my Telkom landline?

Say good-bye to that baby forever – It’s Fibre and VoIP all the way.

Do I need a new router?

Yes – Faircom will supply you with an approved router at an additional cost of R995 once off or R83 over a 12 month period. If you cancel before the 12 month period you would be liable for the pro-rata cost for the router.

Can I upgrade, downgrade or cancel?

Yes! Just give us a call or log into your clientzone and click on the relevant section to make the changes you need.

What if there’s no fibre in my area?

That would be very sad indeed – but leave us your detail and we will let you know as soon as fibre comes a-knocking.
